Strength & Conditioning

Brandon Reich-Sweet is an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with Distinction (CSCS*D), a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Certified Coach and a master’s degree student in Concordia University Chicago’s Applied Exercise Science Department. Coach Brandon works with teams and individual athletes to improve athletic performance through the development of qualities such as strength, power, hypertrophy, speed, agility, stamina, mobility and injury resilience. The strength & conditioning program at BRS High Performance Hockey’s is performance-oriented and designed with age-appropriate training in mind. Our programming is not “filler,” but is intimately tied to the training that we do on the ice.

Athletes are only as good as the physical tools that they bring to the ice or the playing field, and a science-based strength & conditioning program that is appropriate for the athlete’s age/experience and developed with long term athletic development in mind can improve sports performance and help to minimize the risk of sport-related injury. Without the key pillar of strength & conditioning, athletes cannot reach their full potential in their sport. Remember, lots of on-ice training without complementary off-ice training can stall an athlete’s development. It’s not that one is more important than the other, the two work hand-in-hand.

Individual and small group strength & conditioning sessions are available at 303 Performance in Centennial, CO well as at Adapt Athletics as part of our Summer Skills Academy. If you are a coach or administrator looking to improve your team or association’s performance, we are also available for team dryland training and will come to your rink or training facility.

BRS High Performance Hockey can help you get stronger, faster, more coordinated and help you to stay healthy so that you can perform in your sport!
